Project 2: Wk 4 Fourth Attempt

This was my final parti distilled from my a range of previous ones. The two most important architectonic ideas that I have focused on and gave visual preference to are the essential presence of many varied openings and the contrasting atmospheres of spaces. I used wide areas of shading to highlight the sense of enclosure in the hall and tower, a theme I drew on from the Bawa project. It is an expression of my narrative that finally reads, 'Out of a long constrictive hall emerges an elevated, harmonising tower with projecting alcoves for apparent strangers who read, engage in conversation and reach a heightened understanding of themselves.'
