Project 2: Wk 3 Fourth Attempt

This is the progress on the final model at scale 1:75, using a range on materials. I have explored and accentuated my idea of the dead social life inside the train carriage, depicted in Hopper's painting, by using black to subvert his warm pastel tones. The silver exterior produces a more dynamic visual statement than the matt white, and has been employed to hint at the industrial quality of the train's exterior. The slits in the floor are an elaboration on something Felicity and I discussed, to use glass openings to provide a connection to the outside. I am still working on the benches that will be attached to the exterior.
